Okay so the general idea of the base game first.
Project Spark is basically a free toolkit on Xbox One that allows you to create worlds in a Fable-esque environment. Then, friends can download said worlds and play in them. It's pretty shallow and uninviting as of late but in making good on that E3 teaser it looks like that's about the change... So Conkers Big Reunion is an episodic series that takes place ten years after Bad Fur Day. It's going to feature more adult themes like the original game and will be a proper campaign in Project Spark. Starting April 23rd you will be able to create worlds using about 300 assets from Conker's Big Reunion. That's also the date the first episode drops.
Coming back to voice Conker is Chris Seavor and the Project Spark team is working closely with Rare to make it feel like an authentic experience and have been given the original music, art assets, and more to work with. So what do you think? Excited for this or is it just a cash grab?

I absolutely loved Bad Fur Day, though never got further than the WW2 styled part

Hopefully it'll wash the bad taste out of my mouth from the terrible Bad Fur Day remake for the xbox

Is the series going to be platforming like the original, or is it like Telltale?

Telltale? I'm sure it's going to be a action adventure platformer with a focus on the action adventure part.

Well yeah it's going to be delivered in pieces because I think this is something they are putting together on the fly to cash-in on IP. That's why were getting an announcement a month before release. This could still work for the better and it might be cool if people recreate levels from Bad Fur Day and other games that used the engine.
I don't think they had alot to show for Project Spark at E3 2014 and that Conker Tease was a way to get people to pay attention to it. They had to make good on that tease so this is what were getting. Maybe we'll get Conker Live, Reloaded & Uncensored announcement at E3 2015 beside Battletoads. Who knows.
I can see them doing this with Banjo as well. You know the game I personally want but it's nice to see Microsoft start using their Rareware franchises. We don't know much but it SEEMS they are taking baby steps to assure they don't pull another PDZ and actually respect the gameplay and impressions of the original game.
P.S. I called Microsoft to see if they had Battletoads. They said "yes" and hung up. CONFIRMED!

Hey check this out!!!
This is the first 10 minutes of Conker's Bad Fur Day recreated using the tools in Project Spark. Of course this makes me want them to release the full game this way. If anything it confirms that it can be done and at around the 9 minute mark, they confirm that this section of the game will be made available to us and we can build (remake) the rest of the game from there. Really cool.

Also, the more i look at Project Spark, with its emphasis on emotes rather than lip-syncing and dialogue, it feels more and more like LittleBigPlanet for Xbox. LBP worked the exact same way with open level building, but it was in 2 dimensions instead of 3.

On the music side, I think they confirmed in that stream that the music will be in the editor so we will have access to that. Not 1100% on that mind you, but I think it'll be there. The dialog and lip syncing... who knows at this point. Probably not.
