Well, once again, Hollywood has decided to remake/ruin another horror classic, Evil Dead. Here's a trailer of the sure to be trainwreck of a pathetic attempt to milk more money out of old ideas.
The atrocity comes out April 12th of this year, so be sure to mark your calendars.

It's like blade runner was saying before, Nintendo have pretty much just been remaking games since the n64 in some ways its giving people what they want (if done right) Well doing what Nintendo has been doing is great. Nothing wrong with it for the general gamer. It's the hardcore like me that has been gaming for a good 15 years and doesnt plan on stopping. It's all the same now. The flip side issue is present in PDZ. Make it too much like (other games in genre) and people won't like it. Make it too much the same and people will get bored. Nintendo has/had been doing a great job at keeping things just similar enough with implementing new things. The well of creativity has run dry for them IMO. I think Nintendo peaked on the N64. Now they are implementing alot of features that don't have much justification. Nintendo knows how to make sequals better than anyone.(Period) The issue is they been doing that for 25 years and for a 15+ year vet, that's a way to cause burn out.

From what I've been hearing, the 2013 version suffers from the same drawbacks that the original did: bad dialogue, bad acting, and a supposed "serious" attitude that just falls flat.
In short: It's the original with better effects.
Worth seeing.

I would actually see this movie in cinema but I'm not old enough. I'm 14 but somehow I look at least 17, I suppose I'll have to find another way of watching this film, I remember seeing the original trilogy and I loved every second of it, Don't really have high hopes since it is a remake though.

Works every time, hide in the toilets until everyone is in their seats and once you are through the doors its too dark to see who you are anyway.

an evil dead without a Bruce Campbell is like a pizza without a topping, cheese or base...so just a splatter of tomato sauce basically. my verdict: the evil dead remake is a splat of tomato sauce.

Worth seeing. i dont know about that, i love the originals and the first as always been in my mind what associate horror movies with and should be messed with because its a history piece in my eyes a milestone of were we are in horror movies, but i guess im not money grubbing bastard like the ones in hollywood, and also no special effects can top the end claymation scene

I'll try for no spoilers. I'm not that big on horror movies; it has to be a damn good one, and most of the ones around now suck. I decided to watch the Evil Dead remake, because there was something about the last commercial I saw about it that jumped out at me. I watched it, and it was really good (I thought). I also know that remakes pretty well ALWAYS suck compared to the original, so I watched the original Evil Dead. I loved it, too. I went on to watch Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, and I fell in love with them all! It kind of hurts my head to try and compare any of the Evil Dead with each other, because each one is so different. I consider the new Evil Dead as a part of the series, in a way, and in another way, a completely different and isolated story, that is different and great. But like I said, it's hard for me to compare any of the Evil Dead movies to another Evil Dead movie. ED 1, it was an awesome horror movie, with good effects, given the date and the budget. ED 2, it was strange, and still awesome (I just wish they hadn't made the retelling of ED 1 in ED 2). I've heard people going on about how it was a horror-comedy, but it wasn't funny to me. I'm also not one who is big on slapstick stuff, though. Even though I didn't think it was funny, I thought that it built gave it an atmosphere of demons attacking and driving you mad. And then Bruce Campbell became the baddass that he looks like he should be. (Bruce Campbell looks like a total badass, does he not? Just look at his chin.) Army of Darkness was more of an action movie, to me. It was the perfect mixture of awesome, cheesy, badass, one-liners, Bruce Campbell, and boomstick. New Evil Dead is another awesome movie, scarier (by far) than ED 2 and Army of Darkness, kind of like a darker descendant of Evil Dead 1. It twisted my gut all around, and was scary. The new Evil Dead is how a horror movie should be made. Nice and simple. I think that the switch of main character near the end was done well in a very short time, too. In five minutes, I'd gone from hating her the entire movie to rooting for her. And then for after-credits scene...that was groovy. It is mostly because of that after-credits scene that I can safely call the new Evil Dead a part of the series, though separate, and if there is a sequel, I hope to see Bruce Campbell in it. With a boomstick.
