30 minutes of gameplay:
I tried not to watch too much, but from what I saw the game looks gorgeous.

Solid gold. Now every pre-gamecube Zelda is on 3ds. I'm tempted to buy the Major Mask New 3ds and just make it a dedicated Zelda console.

Anyone else think the new save system will horribly stunt the difficulty and original pacing of this game?
If you don't know, the few and far between; Owl Statues that gave you a temporary saves in the original game are now far more abundant and offer permanent saves for the game. The Song of Time doesn't save the game anymore either. Oh, and the Song of Double Time allows you to jump to a specific hour in a day...
Speed runners are going to have a heyday with this as it could drastically shorten the length of this game. A part of me wants to thank Nintendo for this. I don't know if I want to put forth the time and stress on managing time the way I did in the N64 version. On the flip-side, I wonder if a new generation are going to have the same impression as we did when they don't have to start over in Clock Town every time they turn on the game.

I guess they had the new generation in mind when they changed it... sometimes I feel like we are spoiled with modern games. So spoiled that I feel like we cant go back.

I dunno. Seems like a pretty minor change to the save system. Then again a lot of the enjoyment in the original did come from being pressed for time and not having a permanent save point always within reach. I'm conflicted on the double time change too. Standing around waiting for things to happen was a common occurrence in the original, but it did encourage better time management. I'd say all that down time encouraged you to make a schedule and, more importantly, explore. Also, waiting outside Sakon's hideout on the night of third day probably wouldn't have the same impact if you could just warp there and play the double SoT to trigger Sakon's arrival.
One thing I'm really hoping for is that they streamline the Elegy of Emptiness. Climbing Stone Tower was a pain in the ass b/c you essentially had to sit through an unskippable cutscene every time you played it. Hopefully it works like the transformation mask animations in that you can just skip it after the first viewing.

A little off topic but while we are talking about Zelda you have now reached the sage rank MMCC0203 so you have a unique award. That's all the Sage awards gone, the next person to reach that rank will sadly not get an award, congrats everyone who got one. Some random screenies I took today: Grezzo really did a bang up job with the upgraded visuals. The art style has mostly been retained while the fidelity has been upped considerably.

Beautiful for sure in comparison to the original. Maaaan talking about beautiful Zelda games makes me wish we had some more footage of Zelda Wii U. It and MGSV teeter back and forth for number one spot on my most anticipated list.
