I buy new because I have had too many bad experiences with used and resurfaced discs being passed off as new. I was convinced the universe didn't want me past the 3rd level of Nightfire, because I had to return 2 different used copies and they didn't have a third. It was ridiculous. That ever happen to you? Yes during the PS2 days where used games were terrible quality. Happened a lot, scared me away from used games. I trade in so many games so I rarely buy used because I'm constantly recycling new games for new games, mainly to try and support developers by buying new and to also avoid something gross. Once there was a bogie on a used game disc, I nearly threw the game away.

This gave me an interesting idea in 200 years time there will be so many games no one will able to play more than 20% of them so top 10 lists are really important for future generations. Haha, justifying rotting the minds of children by claiming it's for the good of mankind.

Maybe JMM. It's also important to remember that in 200 years, maybe games we consider the very best ever made may not have a means to be played. Games like say, Battletoads for example, have a cult following now, but what happens when everyone who originally played it and enjoyed it and all the people that worked on developing and producing it are dead?
Like when you think of classical music maybe 5 composers come to mind when there were well over a hundred over the course of 50 years that likely wrote some wonderful pieces we will never ever hear. The cream rises to the top and is skimmed off and whats left is thrown out. Not to sound so morbid or just plain negative, but I do agree that it's important to choose the right games you know you'll get something out of.
