I agree but in it's defence, it does look better in motion. It kinda has the animation style of Skyward Sword. That kind of blurred, water color theme.
Between Skyward Sword, the Wind Waker remake and this I'm not sure we will ever return to the more realistic style of Twilight Princess again. Not that I mind.

I kinda like the 90's character vibe they've got going on with the art style, though Twilight Princess probably has my favorite so far. Also, doesn't that 2D Link sprite look a lot like the illustration from the intro mural in Wind Waker?

If anything this is just confirming the fact that nintendo are now only good at remaking game (or arguably not good at remaking games)

This isn't a remake though, is it? I thought it was just a straight-up sequel to LTTP

They can dress it up what ever way they want, they have just taken the old game and give it a lick of out of date paint.

The best thing Nintendo does now is take old concepts twists them around and puts new paint on them. It's what they do best. I hope Iwata makes good on his promise and if the Wii U doesnt sell 10 million this year he retires. He ruined Nintendo. That's for a different thread though. This isnt a remake, it's a sequal but it's dissapointing news. I would have loved a full remake of ALTTP but using the OOT engine to make it a fully 3D world. Can you imagine. That would be great.

Wii U has been sucking pretty hard so far! never has a new console been such a non event IMO. Its not much better than the 360 and the 360 is 6 years old!

I remember my sheer lack of enthusiasm for the Wii U when it launched. Something like this...
Okay let me get this straight. $350 price tag. Are you kidding me. No CD/DVD/Blu-ray player. Xbox 360 graphics. A tablet for a controller making the Wii U the largest DS to date. Backwards Compatability is there but requires you to jump through hoops and it does NOT play Gamecube discs. No supurb Mario/Zelda/Metroid launch title to show off the consoles new features.
Six months later... Is the Wii U worth my money yet? No price drop. No hardware revisions to speak of. Still a glorified DS with 360 graphics. Backward Compatibility is still convoluted. No Gamecube Virtual Console games as promised. Five highest rated games on the system look and play better on the 360/PS3. Good 3rd party support though. Looks like the highest rated game on the system is set to be a remake of a Gamecube game. Wind Waker.

It does feel like they rushed it so it would be the first out. If you think about it releasing it after the 720 or the PS4 would have been suicide
