I'm seeing people mad about the quality of this game on forums around the net. This game is proof why, unless it's a game that has been developed from the ground up from a AAA game developer (check track records) you should always hold off on pre-ordering. The fact of the matter is that this, is just how the gaming industry is today. People are going out and putting $60+ down on something and they have no clue if it's going to be worth it or not. Take advice from a 15 year industry vet. I know I'm not alone on this forum when saying this. If you are pre-ordering a game based on it's trailers and demos you are choosing to walk a little to close to the edge. I know the view is great but there is a good chance your going to fall and land flat on your wallet. You're absolutely right. IMO consumers are equally at fault for the state of the industry; more specifically stupid sheep consumers. These are the same morons that go and pre-order a game based on flashy marketing campaigns and IP recognition. The sad part is that this demographic makes up the majority of the consumer base for games today. This has resulted in games like CoD topping the pre-order charts at retailers every year and A:CM making it to the top selling spot on Steam prior to release.

Anyone see Total Biscuit's video on how pre-order+review embargo is ruining games?
Yeah.

this game made me cry twice. first time was because I saw bill paxton with a hole in his chest and the second time because I had been looking forward to this game since it was first announced and it was just so so bad. I mean what a disappointment they got two of the actors from the film, used all the same sound effects from the film and even got 20th century fox to regard it as cannon... and it was terrible. shame on you sega...shame on you...

It is a recurring theme, find something people love and squeeze it for all its worth.
