Living in the Present, still loving the Past is our motto. 2014 was a pretty good year for gaming. We got some gems like Dark Souls II, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and Shadow of Mordor to name a few. Many of us are still loving (playing) the past, but it's time to start living the present and discussing the future.
As an independent, community driven website, it's vital that we differentiate ourselves from the IGNs, the twitters, and the facebooks of the internet and provide in-depth discussions on the game, movies, music, and social issues WE care about. Being a gaming site first and foremost, we need your help in answering this important question.
What are your most anticipated games coming out in 2015?
So far we're sure to cover the following:
Metal Gear Sold V: The Phantom Pain Batman: Arkham Knight The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) Star Wars Battlefront (2015) Mario Maker
That's just five titles we'll be sure to actively cover here on GoldenEdge Gaming of as far as trailers, gameplay videos, release dates, delays, and features are revealed and released. I know I didn't even scratch the surface with that puny list. That's where you come in. GO!

An overdue port of a game that's a decade and a half old is at the top of my list. Other than that, looking forward to Just Cause 3, the new Crackdown, and the PC port of GTA V as well. It's going to be a good year for fans of the open world genre. Edit: Witcher 3 is also bound to be a crowd pleaser even if it doesn't interest me.

In no particular order, my most anticipated:
Halo 5 (Yep. I liked it. Get with the now.) Crackdown 3 Star Wars Battlefront Mirror's Edge 2 Broken Age Act 2 Just Cause 3 No Man's Sky (even though I'll never be able to play it) Firewatch Zelda Wii U (even though I'll never be able to play it) Star Citizen (if this fucking game EVER releases that is)
Bonus Round:
Occulus Rift (HEAVILY suggested at a 2015 release window by the devs themselves)

I should let you know that were depending on everyone to cover the games we bring to this thread the best we can. I'll do my part in relaying the relevant news on the homepage, twitter, etc.
Yes, I'll do my best to cover them ALL myself but say when E3 rolls around, theirs no way I'm going to be able to cover everything. It's likely things will fall through the cracks. Just saying, I'm not asking for a to-do list.
I have an Xbox One, 3DS, and plan on a Wii U provided budget allows and the new Zelda is everything I hope it to be. We need someone with a PS4 to cover the PlayStation exclusives. I just can't honestly cover something I'll likely never play. It wouldn't be honest.

Mirror's Edge 1 was a great concept, executed very poorly. Therefore ME2 has promise, though I don't know much about it.
MM3DS is probably going to be my 2nd favourite game of all time, though I'll likely never play it.
Just Cause 2 was great fun, so perhaps the sequel will be good as well.

Without repeating what has already been posted...
Battlefield Hardline (Would like to get back into online FPS games) Hitman 2015 (I have no info all I know it is coming out) Serious Sam 2015 (I have no info all I know it is coming out)
I think that covers everything I know about.

While we're on the subject, here's a relatively minor one releasing this year: /sarcasm

I am pretty sure the answer is no, simply because the only reason OoT had a Master Quest on the 3DS was because the Gamecube had a Master Quest. As there has never been a Master Quest of MM I doubt they will spend the time making one.
They just want to cash in on what has already been made.

Agree with JMM. We've been surprised before, but the graphics even wearnt cleaned up nearly as much as OOT3D from what I've seen. Still looks better than it did though.

...They just want to cash in on what has already been made. That's a pretty cynical way of looking at it. A re-release has two other, more important purposes IMO: to give fans of the original game a technically superior format to experience it in, and to make new fans out of those who couldn't/didn't play the original. Either way it's a win-win for those of us wanting this game to get more exposure. As for it not being as graphically impressive as OOT 3DS, I disagree; I think it looks every bit as good if not better. I suspect you may be forgetting just how murky and low-res the original was. Watch any part of this gameplay here and compare it to the original: It's very clearly a huge step up graphically in the same way that OOT 3DS was.

I don't think it is cynical I think its realistic.

I agree with you both. It's nice that new generations are getting to play these older games but I can't help but wonder if Nintendo is just trying to bank on a long requested Zelda Remake like this. Sure, after seeing OOT3D look and play so well on 3ds it was pretty much guaranteed Majora Mask would follow but I guess we'll never know for sure.

I don't think it is cynical I think its realistic. Not really. Re-releases don't happen for the sole purpose of making money. As I said in my previous post, they provide those of us who are already fans with a technically superior version of the game as well as make new fans out of those who didn't play the original. Also, if they only wanted to "cash in on what has already been made," they wouldn't have added new animations and features and completely re-textured the game. This is closer to a remake than a port after all.

You have to judge each case on its merits, I wouldn't say it was guaranteed (nothing is). As for WHY Nintendo released Majora Mask or any of their remake games I KNOW what the answer is. Wait for it.... drum roll please.... MONEY and to sell consoles.
Sugar coat it all you want "its for the fans" "its for the new generation" Bulls**t. What about the fans of GoldenEye on the N64? if they care about the fans and want the new generation of gamers to play old Nintendo games they would have given the go ahead on GE XBLA.
They do things for their fans when it suits them and when they can make money from it. It is a business.
