I am speed running Resident Evil HD Remastered, and I am curious if anyone else has? Did anyone else even buy it? So far I am only speed running it on very easy, I just want to unlock the new game modes and the achievement, it do this I have to complete it under 3 hours. I would like to make a video of it but I am having a lot of problems with my laptop... either way I will post my time.

I didn't buy it because I don't have a means of income at the moment and I have the Wii version that plays just fine. I just can't justify paying $20 for an HD lick of paint right now. I know this game will eventually fall to $10 then maybe $5 on a sale in a few years, I doubt I'll wait that long but right now $20 is alittle steep for me.
Please make a video for this game soon.
Yes, I did speed run the game in 2003, I don't remember my time but it was under 5 hours. I unlocked the Samurai Edge and infinite launcher and invisible zombies mode though I never played it much because that just sounds insane.

My friend beat it in under 3 hours on the easiest mode without saving and it didn't unlock anything for him... You might need to step it up a level of difficulty, though knowing him it probably just bugged out... He has no luck when it comes to games

I have read on www.trueachievements.com that you can get the speed run achievement on very easy, I guess I will find out for myself soon enough. As @sparks said under 5 hours gets you Samurai Edge and infinite launcher and invisible zombies mode. Also there is an achievement for completing the game without saving so I am very surprised to hear that he didnt unlock anything.

Well not that I'm opposed to speed runs, but I find it hard to do it with RE. It grabs you with its sound and atmosphere and I find myself involuntary slowing down to drink it in.

Agreed, I wouldn't dream of advising anyone to speed run after only playing it once or twice but for someone like me who has drank so much from this glass there is nearly nothing left, speed running is a great way to add reply value. Think of it like speed running Perfect Dark, to me it doesn't feel natural to play PD like that but I found it very fun and challenging. Timesplitters, now that is a game that feels natural to speed run.
