So I've found a dreamcast emulator, only problem is, I have no idea how to use it... Seems it can't run games directly from the discs, and the ISO's need some fidgeting, and all in all clear details are hard to come by... Anyone use it who could possibly lend me a hand?

I have never used a Dreamcast emulator, a Pal Dreamcast will play ISO's as standard so I just got a cheap one on ebay. These guys might be able to help www.theisozone.com

Yeah I ended up downloading the game I wanted to play instead of using my own copy, seeing as I couldn't figure out how to make it selfbooting... I also found a different emulator that seems to work with it better

I've got pretty much all the consoles as emulators, including xbox and ps2 (PS2 one is surprisingly easy actually, was kinda hoping for that kinda simplicity with the Dreamcast one, but alas it's not to be)

i generally stick to the more retro consoles because i can play them on a keyboard, because i hate having to buy the little 5 to 10 dollar adapters that i forget which one goes to which console and then i end up comparing each end to the controller cable, then if a friend wants to play contra or something i need to find my nes hub then 2 nes controllers then i need to find a hdmi out cable, and sometimes ISOs dont like hdmi so i need to find a hdmi to avi or componet cable then bye the end of it it looks like ctuhulu is attacking my tv... wow i really got off on a tangent lol

You can buy a cheap PS2 (style) USB controller on ebay or buy a wired 360 controller

Yeah, I use my xbox controller for my PS2 emulator, I picked myself up a wireless receiver for my PC specifically for xbox controllers pretty cheap on amazon IIRC, and the software is downloadable from Microsoft, my brother uses a wired xbox controller for his PC, and there are drivers for both wired and wireless controllers from Microsoft, but using a charge kit with a wireless controller won't work, as it still sends its signals wirelessly
