I always use jpeg format for our web ads, because there's so many of them that smallest-file-size is more valuable than better-quality-image.
Tiffs for print though.

I use JPEG, but I normally ramp up the quality to 100%... I haven't noticed issues with it tbh

The issue is file size, also not sure what you mean Greenfire I find PNG is a smaller file size for most artwork and images. All advertising I make for print is saved as PDF.

PNG is nice because you can make a picture with a transparent background, which is nice if you want to add your own on a greenscreen.

PNG is nice because you can make a picture with a transparent background, which is nice if you want to add your own on a greenscreen. That is a great point I forgot about, that is what makes PNG good for online stuff transparent background means it will blend in better with the webpage.
