Coming to PS4/XONE as well as PS3/360 I'm excited for this game for several reasons.
First and foremost, it's being developed by Dimps. For those of you who don't know, the development of the most popular DBZ fighting games has been passed back and forth between Spike and Dimps over the last decade. Dimps creating the more traditional side-view Budokai series, and Spike being responsible for the over-the-shoulder fighting seen in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. Not since 2008 has Dimps developed a game for this franchise.
Like it was for many, Budokai was the first DBZ game I got to play after the initial boom in popularity the anime had in North America. I was never able to adjust to Spikes' Tenkaichi style and have been yearning for a new DBZ game from Dimps for the better part of seven years.

I now own this game and have been playing it since like, 1:30am Friday morning... I am having an absolute BLAST with this game... Being able to play with 2 other players at the same time in the Parallel Quests is fun too, seeing as I have my account linked to my best friends xbox one and we discovered that it automatically downloaded the game for him and he's able to play it for free on his account, we've been co-oping it up for a few missions... Servers are still quite shit at the moment but I'm sure that'll clear up in the next few days

Good to know. Maybe you be giving us a full eview in the near future maybe???
I never was into the Tenkaichi games. Is this one a bit more accessible than those? What do you think of being your own character? Is that as cool as it sounds???

I'm not really great at writing reviews... A lot of times I am easily pleased with games =p Being your own character is pretty cool, and you can still play as other characters once you unlock them in the Parallel Quests, which are kinda like the "What if" missions you used to get. Playing as a Saiyan is maybe a touch broken once you get your super saiyan skill, where your ki drains but none of your moves use any ki... I played briefly as one of the Freeza race (Literally what they're called, the race doesn't seem to have an actual name) which can apparently stun people with their ki blasts, but I still need to level him up to see if he's any good really

I've been watching Angry Joe's streams of this. It looks pretty good aside from the boring hub world and RNG loot grinding.

Yeah, for me it's been REALLY fun to play, as I haven't played a fighting game in a LONG time... And what with having my license for it shared with my best friend, we get to play together in the parallel quests, but yeah, the hub is quite boring

Seeing the hub world and some of the more open levels in which you fight makes me wish they'd make a proper open-world DBZ game. I know they sort of tried it with with Budokai 3 back in the day, but that was a game still limited by the tech of 6th gen. A huge open-world with destructible environments and high attention to detail is more than possible on the new consoles.

I know what you mean.I would love to see something that takes you from Raditz to Cell with you getting to free roam earth as the main characters in an rpg style. If you ever played Legacy of Goku 2 then you know it could work.

Destructible environments in Xenoverse would be nice... Some things fall apart sure, but it's not like you can level the entire place
