The successor to the 2010 NES//Genesis frankenconsole RetroN 3, Hyperkin's newest system supports those three classic systems with the addition of the Gameboy Advance. In addition to promising enjoyable play from both NTSC and PAL video standard cartridges, the console's HDMI connections mean you can finally marry your old games with modern TVs that have since abandoned standard composite cables.
In addition to a boosted display, the system features 6 controller ports (two for each platform) as well as a wireless Bluetooth controller to use on any game. The console also comes with a "Perdana" digital user interface that enables players to recode button assignments, toggle between systems and access other extra features. -IGN

Yeah if it played N64 games I would buy it. All my favorite games from NES/ /Genesis are either on my Wii or my X360. I have a 3DS now and if Nintendo can get it together my favorite GBA games will be on that. ha ha

The picture I posted above is the RetroN 4. I would hold out for the RetroN 4 as it's coming out sometime this year and has Gameboy/GBA and HDMI support as well as NES/ /Genesis. Region Free as well. I know you would enjoy it the most, JMM. It would be nice to make vids of the classics using just 1 console instead of 3 or more.

Yeah. My N64 broke awhile back and I sold it for parts. I suspect this will happen with any N64 over time. Still have my Goldeneye cart though and LOVE the idea of NEW hardware to play my old games on.

Pretty sure my best friend has a still working N64... Every now and then we feel the need to hook it up and play some Dukematch... Playing against the hardest bots is insane, you really need the better weapons to even stand a chance against them, even if they're using just a pistol!

Most N64s I see today seem to be on there last legs. Random freeze and crashs happen. Though it happens after about 2 hours of play. The N64 was a God of a game console. If game systems came in trilogys then the N64 was the finally of the great cartrige based game consoles and damn was it good. Better than PS1. Yeah that's not my opinion. Just a fact.
I can't find an NES that hasnt been opened up, cleaned, and had this or that replaced.

Yes the more moving parts the console has the shorter it's life span. When it comes to cartridge based consoles, I've repaired them for cheap. With disc based consoles once something goes out you have to replace it and then you are at the mercy of whoever is selling for how much you will pay. I figure I got a good 10 years with each console. The batteries in the cartidges are another thing. My experience is that 12 years is all you have before you should say goodbye to your progress. There are so many , Gameboy, and even N64 cartriges on ebay that don't save because of dead batteries. The thing is, this is one of the cheapest things to replace but people would rather sell them or worse yet, throw these games away because they figure the game has just gotten too old and is broken forever. It's crazy what you can do with some basic knowlege of how these consoles work.

Yeah when I see that it makes me want to transfer the code of every game from those respective consoles I can get my hands on put them on a single hard drive. It makes me sick to see all those ports and for the life of me I can not explain why. That is an example as to why I bought a Wii. Other than anything Rareware made, I have my entire library of NES/ /N64/Genesis games on a single SD Card inside my Wii. It's backwards compatability with the Gamecube means it's unlikely I'll ever buy another Nintendo Console. I bought a 3DS in hopes of having my entire GameBoy collection on it someday. Xbox 360 is kind of like that as well. I'm to a point I might not buy another console but that's a different topic for a different board.

The batteries in the cartidges are another thing Batteries in the cartridges.... I didnt even know the cartridges you saved on used batteries! I thought they used the power from the machine! I'd rather have one of these: OMG that thing doesnt even looks safe! look at all those wires, this defeats the purpose of sustainable retro games, it looks like it wouldnt take much for it to break and if it did good luck fixing it!
