Hello my people if you are currently looking for a zombie game to play here are my recommendations.
PROJECT ZOMBOID ( Steam £9.99 )
By far the most realistic take on a zombie survival simulator.
This is the best zombie game you'll ever play Check out the video, it'll put it into better words than I can.

NO MORE ROOM IN HELL ( Steam Free To Play )
A fantastic co-op experience with friends no micro-transactions or anything, this community project is a take at a co-op survival horror experience you won't be managing characters needs or anything you'll be trying to make it though the level with your team without getting infected or dying.
It's fairly difficult and you can get ambushed out of nowhere by a zombie and be bit but not to worry to much you can stave of infection by taking some phalanx pills (I'm not sure if it's their actual name) or get rid of it with a Geno therapy injection, you'll also need to bandage scratches and maintain your health with med kits this is a fantastic co-op experience not to be missed if you don't mind a couple wonky animations.
H1Z1 (Steam £14.99 then goes to Free to play when it's complete)
This is a controversial one here but from what I've played the game is pretty solid, same kinda deal as DayZ but runs much more smoothly (For me at least) and is much easier to understand how to do stuff it can create some great tension and keep your adrenaline flowing when you're getting attacked by a group of bandits and fending them off with your rifle.
it does have it's problems and we don't know how far micro-transactions will go when it becomes free to play but as of now it's pretty solid and in my personal opinion works much better than DayZ.
Hope you enjoyed this little list, and you discover a new game to play.
