Got some details via a Polygon article. Any games that had online multiplayer support in its original iteration (including Perfect Dark Xbla) will have the same support on Rare Replay. The 10 second rewind feature is only for select games, not all titles. They used the word "retro" when referring to the rewind feature. A bonus feature called "Rare Revealed" presents over an hour of documentary footage contained in the game, covering the development of key games as well as concept art and a look at unreleased games from Rares past. Goldeneye 007 and Donkey Kong arnt in the game for obvious licensing reasons, with Rare stating that Goldeneye in particular isn't really representative of a Rare game and they hold Perfect Dark in higher regard. Snapshots are little challenges that give you something new to do "collect this many things in this amount of time" etc. On older, more pixilated (8-bit) games, there is an option to turn on scan lines and blur the image a bit to better emulate what the game looked like on a CRT television. As of right now, all the Rare games on the Xbox 360 are backwards compatible with Xbox One. That ranges from Viva Pinata, to Perfect Dark, to Banjo Tooie. That's right. Xbox Preview members can play and stream Perfect Dark on Xbox One right now. It's a good day to be a gamer.

Just preordered mine on amazon for £19.99! I was worried I would have to pay £30 and there would be no conversion. I hope it arrives on release day, I had problems with Amazon years ago with Dead Island. I plan on taking the day off work and making lots of videos on Perfect Dark

I have no idea where I'll be when this game comes out. Crazy summer. If all goes well, you won't miss me, and I'll stream it on day 1.
I do agree that when old-school people think of Rareware as a company, Goldeneye 007 maybe isnt the first thing to come to mind, but it definitely comes to mind. As much as I would love to play Goldeneye in this collection, if you watch the vidoc I posted, the drawing board says the games have to make certain criteria to be considered for the collection...
Adds great value Tells the Journey of Rare A fan favorite Legally Sound
Goldeneye meets all but one of these I for one would love to see what Rares "journey" was like during Goldeneye 007s development. It's not every day that you take a studio known for creating mostly original content, and give them a licence to work with. I can't help but feel like the "legally Sound" part of that list only exists as a preemptive attempt to keep Goldeneye demand to a minimum. It's a dead horse to everyone accept those who don't know anything about it.

I changed one of my milestone goals to say that I will do twitch streams as a thank you to everyone supporting me if I reach it, I doubt I will reach it (even know it is the first one). Anyway I PLAN to make so many videos on Perfect Dark it will almost be like I am streaming it day one

Have you been to Rares official site lately? Not a Kinect in sight. It's all Sea of Thieves and classic Rare characers. This is such a strange feeling.... can I.... is it okay..... should.... I think I............ Like Microsoft now.?. No. That can't be right.....

Maybe they saw the kickstarter for Yooka-Laylee and were all "HOLY SHIT! Guys, we uh, might wanna start making games like people used to love"

Yeah really. I imagine the explanation went something like...
Phil Spencer: People must really love these old Rare games. Who knew? That Yooka game has made 3 million dollars already and it's only JUST STARTED DEVELOPMENT! Call Rare, tell em we gotta fast-track a re-branding to show people we got the ORIGINAL Rare Studio, uhhh hire 50 new people, and get them working on a new game. Something with pirates!
Larry Hyrb: Hey boss, ya know Rare turns 30 this year, maybe we can do somethin with that?
Rare Replay breaks pre-order records for a compilation game just 48 hours after announcement.

I'm kind of wondering if Conker or any of the non-XBLA 64 era games in this will see technical improvements. I love CBFD to death, but it's creaking framerate really isn't acceptable in this day and age. Ideally, every game in this package will be running at 60 FPS. If not, I'm actually not sure I'll pick this up. I already own BK, BT, and PD on 360, and if I want to play Conker in all its sub-20 FPS glory without a CRT filter I might as well just dust off my N64.

That is a really good question MMCC. I would really like to know that as well...... I wonder. I'll go ask my friend at Rare about that. No really, through my wife, I have a friend working on Sea of Thieves right now. I so special, I know.

There is no possible way for it not to be an improvement. The N64 is really blurry on an HD TV, even if it is a straight port it will still look better.

I guess I don't understand how frame-rate works but wouldn't you be able to assume that the fact the Xbox One is a little more powerful than the N64 would mean things like fps are not an issue. I mean we need a locked 30FPS for cooker to look and play great and the standard is quickly becoming 60FPS.

It's not really about the hardware, the hardware could easily run any of the games on the list at 60fps. The issue is that the games would all have to be reprogrammed which means time and money.

Yup, agreed. And that's time and money that's spread really thinly. Honestly, I'm not particularly hyped. I've already played these games.
