But it's still 10,000GS if you've never gotten any of the achievements in the Xbox 360 versions of the game right? I'm not great at math but i think it all adds up to that. It's just part of that 10,000GS is Xbox 360 cheevos. Here. Have a look at this. It should clear a few things up... So ya see. It was all made up. Luckily we are getting this information NOW instead of at launch, when we find out we all have the game 60% complete like "Whhaaaaaaaatt!" So there is that. Still, can't be too mad. It's 30 really solid games from the last 30 years. It's like a time capsule of awesome. Not a collection of this value has ever been released. Yeah, I'm thinking The Orange Box as well. Hour for Hour, 100% Rare Replay could take awhile.

Xbox achievements are paradoxically designed to be unlocked because of people's obsession with Gamerscore.
Steam achievements are designed to be difficult and satisfying to unlock. They really don't care if <0.1% of players will unlock them. They appeal to their hardcore audiences.

Errrr. I don't care too much. I achievement hunt when all other things to do in the game are complete. It's something I do before I put a new game on the shelf for awhile. I love the ones that make you track down easter eggs. Some people shun those who achievement hunt but I figure as along as your not sacrificing fun for gamerscore your alright. I been "achievement hunting" for about a decade and if you check my gamerscore, you'll see it's obviously not a priority.
Still. I do like the idea of achievements. Just wish people didn't put so much value on them that they are a higher priority that the games themselves. Meaning how cheevos came with my gamertag to Xbox One instead of that actual games and saves.

People can obsess over Gamerscore all they want, but I demand difficult achievements which make me work hard to unlock. That's my only gripe about xbox cheevos.

There are tons in Halo:MCC and it bugs the crap out of me when big name games like that are like that. It's mostly a gripe with Halo and how Bungie put quite a bit of weight to achievements in Halo 3 with them being tied to armor customization. I never encountered glitchy achievements in that franchise until Halo 4 DLC, then it rolled over into MCC. I was one of those guys that had 100% in all Halos but glitchy cheevos is why I'll never have 100% in Halo 4 and MCC. Oh 343i....

So Crowning Glory wasn't a difficult achievement? When I first started, attack ship PA was difficult. But later on I got Crowning Glory in 10.5 hours with a new account with no problems. Hence me completing DLTK later on.

I still haven't gotten it. That, and Prime Target are easily some of the most difficult achievements I've ever seen in a game that isnt inherently difficult. It's just incredibly time consuming and requires alot of pattern learning. I got Prim Target but it took some real dedication.
On achievements: I don't see achievements as something to brag about but rather something fun to do with the game when youve played all of the base game. It's fun to go to the achievement list and find out there are a bunch of extra things you can do. The best achievement lists are the ones that take you to places and makes you do things you wouldn't normally go or do otherwise. Cheevos are a great tool for the developer all corners of the game are met and potentially appreciated.
I still think of the recent Master Chief Collection and how there was an achievement for pretty much every easter egg in those game which had me discover a couple of things I never even knew about in games I thought I had stripped clean. It's lovely.

Okay so here is my concern, it LOOKS like Blast Corps doesn't have ANY achievements most XBLA games have 12 achievements. I don't care about gamerscore, I rarely look at the total number I have but I use it as a gauge of what I have left to do in a game. If there were a bunch of low scoring achievements (things to do) then I would play Blast Corps until everything is done. I just hope I have some goals to aim for.

The Blast Crops boarder is really nice, it looks like they have created new artwork for it.

So I was in India from June 6 - June 25. I get back and I'm still catching up on E3 news. This literally just made my day. I'm seriously considering getting an xbone, especially with that backwards compatibility eventually going into effect. I would probably get the TB console for $400. I'm just unsure the payoff. What are your thoughts? I'm thinking I could go into Gamestop and trade in my 360 and some games, probably end up with $100 or something. I could put that money on a card and just save for an xbone. I would love to play PD with you guys again someday.

That is good news crankiest, Rare Replay and backwards compatibility were the nail in the coffin for me too. The 1 TB console doesn't come out where I live until September so I just bought the standard 500GB console. Would love to have some PD fun nights again

Totally want to play PD again with everyone!
Keep in mind that if you plan on playing alot of games on the Xbox One over time, then a 1TB internal hard drive is only going to give you a couple seasons worth of space. The backwards comp has you installing all of the 360 games you want to play, even if their on the disc. X360 games are usually around 8GB per title, depending on the game, and XONE games can take in the ballpark of 40GB each. So you do the math. Even with 1TB, if your like me and plan on bringing and keeping your X360/XONE essentials on the Xbox One at all times, an external hard drive is probably going to become a fact of life sooner or later. There may be a 2TB or even 5TB console announced in the far off future but personally, I could not sit ideally by while the whole world was playing Metal Gear 5, Fallout 4, Rare Replay, etc. This year belongs to Xbox One.
Ao anyway, If I were you I would save $50, get the 500BG model, let the space on that hold you over for a year (or until it fills up), put the $50 you saved towards Rare Replay, and wait on a nice 2TB external hard drive your probably going to have to buy eventually, to go on sale when it comes close to needing it.
