This game has the greenlight on Steam hard to know if this is just a rip off or not... would like to know what other people think of this.

Slightly off topic, but the graphics are really distracting me. They are right on the edge of photorealistic. It's exactly why I think we won t be seeing the true power of the current gen consoles for another couple years. There is bound to be an FPS in that time-frame that blows us away. Looking at this years iteration of both COD and Halo it's petty clear they are being weighted down by their last-gen engines. I both hope and expect to start seeing some tech demo stuff in the near future. I still remember how excited I was for Far Cry 2 when I saw its tech demo...

Yeah it looks like the Uncanny Valley can be applied to scenery as well. Strange.
I suspect playing this on the Occulus would remedy that awful quick though.
Looks interesting, though it does seem to borrow a lot of atmosphere from games like PT or Amnesia. I wouldn't call it a ripoff, just another game in that genre.

That's all the promise I've seen from the VR stuff. In exploring beautiful landscapes and creepts settings is fun, but the lazy person in me will always want to come home from work, lay sideways on the couch with both hand on a game pad, and just veg out for a bit.
Something I wanted to say in the post-e3 podcast I did with JMM. I think the hololens could lend a lot to that experience if the headset is lightweight and focusses on peripheral vision, I could really see how that could enhance an FPS game. Have you ever noticed how cluttered the edges of the screen get? I'm not talking about moving the hud to the lens but having grenades and hit detection through the lens could be cool.
