So it's Far Cry 10,000 BC. Very bold move by Ubisoft but it looks promising.

I'm fairly worried, but I'm hoping it'll turn out good. We need more Turok-style games that don't suck.

It will probably more like previous games than you think.

Certainly an interesting concept. Either it will be the biggest surprise of 2016, or it's ambition will fall on def ears of people wanting a more traditional modern shooter experience. It looks beautiful enough, and the animal usage could either prove to be a tedious necessity or a sandbox of tools for some really creative action scenarios. Time will tell, but this one is defiantly on my radar.

I guess it reminds me of Turok which is a good... I don't think it would be a day one buy!

On that note, is it just me or was this game (a far cry from previous entries gameplay) fast-tracked?
I mean, at first I thought it was this generations take on Blood Dragon, recycling alot of assets from Far Cry 4 to make something different. If this is a main entry game, and it's coming out in just a few months, Far Cry as a franchise may be on it's way to a severe quality dip.
It's become an annual franchise, and if they arnt going to play it safe, we either won't see Far Cry 5 in 2017, or it might suffer from the lack of time to focus on particular themes.
My favorite game in the series is Blood Dragon. I'm still bummed that they didn;t make a sequal to that game, it was great.

Wasn't Blood Dragon just a side project someone made for fun?

It was something to fill the gap between Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 4. Kinda how Primal feels. It's production values would never have me calling it a "side project" though. The only thing they recycled was the map and the animals in it. Even then, they recolored and reskinned all of that. It's reception was great, maybe it just didn't sell well enough.

Wasn't Blood Dragon just a side project someone made for fun? I consider Blood Dragon an official "mod".

It's good to see they're keeping the Far Cry tradition of "The games have nothing to do with each other in terms of story" alive.

I'm waiting for the twist that gives us Alien weaponry or modern day guns... I don't trust Ubisoft to deliver a proper caveman game.

You mean like {Spoiler}Turok? Haha, the funny thing is, if this was advertised like Turok I would probably be super hyped. Just don't promise me a game about spears and rocks then give me machine guns.
