Night Dive (the same people behind System Shock: Enhanced) announced in August that it would be remastering Turok 1 and 2, but didn't say anything about when the projects would be complete - and still hasn't. Both games are in for enhanced graphics and "other" improvements.
This is pretty exciting for me, I don't think it will be an HD remake or anything but it will be the best version of Turok you can play and I have wanted to make videos on Turok for a while so this will give me the reason I have been waiting for.

Excuse my ignorance, but we're talking about the first two N64 games here right? I only played it once, but Seeds of Evil was fun, no nostalgia for it but I wouldn't mind giving those games another go.

Yes..... and no... Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil were originally N64 games but from what I can tell these remakes will be of the PC versions which are graphicly superior to the N64 game releases. The PC versions came out a few months after the N64 games.

Where did you get that info? The 17th of what month!?.... What year!? Oh crap! I found a website called "google" and it turns out the first game is coming out this Thursday! I can't believe it is coming out so soon. I will try and make a video of it the day I get my hands on it The artwork is really beautiful.

Not that i want this so scare anyone away, but the game does look like they upscale it and cleaned it up considerably, and are rushing it out. I can understand why it's coming out so soon, and just because it feels rushed, doesn't mean it's quality will suffer from that. I WISH more video developers would just wait and announce their game less that 6-months before release. It seems that every January I'm looking forward to one game in the spring, and four in the winter. Good to hear about somethinig and to my surprise, it's coming out in a week. lol

^It would take a lot more than that to put me off this game I have to agree, the "when its done" in this case is refreshing, I guess not every game dev is in that position especially if a physical copy is being made. It is good that we don't have to wait until Turok 2 is finished before we can play Turok 1.
