It's an excellent game but would it qualify for being the best game ever?

I suppose it is a grand statement saying that it is the best game ever when there is so much competition. but I still concur that it is the best game of 2012.

Also, it's pretty much down to taste and what type of game you're looking for... Apples and oranges my friend

I wouldnt say it was the best game, I wouldn't even say it was a game! More like an interactive movie.

I've been meaning to ask you JMM (since you're a zombie game/movie person) what you thought of the walking dead video game?

I enjoyed it, I started playing it right after I finished watching the first series so for me it fell like just watching a new series but I made the decisions. I dont know what else to say really its just like an interactive movie for me. what did you think?

Interactive movie. I think Metal Gear when that comes to mind. Huge turn off for me. I'll pass.

No very different Metal Gear (especially MGS2) it was like 1/2 cutscenes 1/2 gameplay which I didnt really mind (except the part where it was an hour of cutscenes!) Walking dead is like 85% cutscenes and 15% walking around clicking on things and talking to people (and talking to poeple is just another kind of cutscene if you ask me)

True. I like the MGS series I just don't know if ill ever pick up this The Walking Dead game.
Speaking of "best video game ever" as I type this Bioshock Infinite is on track to be the highest rated ever. It only has about 10 reviews out so far.

I think there will never be a "best game ever". it's like the just war theory; no matter who you are, what you are or where you are, there will always be someone who disagrees with you hence tipping the balance of seemingly mutual agreement. food for thought...

Totally. But if you can't find something to like in LOZ:OOT then there isnt something wrong with the game, there is something wrong with you. Blind people have loved and completed that game.
I know that is just my opinion, but I'm right.
