Yeah they NEED to put in an option to reset outposts in the game. You can do that in Far Cry 3 and it would be awesome to take back the island once again but as a fully upgraded commando. The patched FC3 to reset a month or 2 after it came out so I hope they patch this one ASAP.

I haven't noticed any technical shortcomings whatsoever and I 100% it last night. Its impressive how solid the game is as well. With all the flashy action going on it never drops in framerate. Loading times are surprisingly fast as well. aside from a few enemy AI glitches, I had much the same experience.

This reminds me, I still need to finish the 100% on OG Far Cry 3... Flying around on a paraglider and trying to free fall on top of a soldier never gets old, even if I haven't ever succeeded (the end result is hilarious regardless). Does Blood Dragon have paragliders 'n ziplines as well?
And dammit SirTerrible, I had to go listen to Hotline Miami's soundtrack again after you mentioned it X-D

It does have paragliders and ziplines but doesnt have wingsuits or parachutes. I assume they left those out because there is no fall damage at all in Blood Dragon.

Nice! I only ever used the wingsuit for negating fall damage anyways, so that's fine by me :V

I dont know why but I have always preferred to play FPS game on console and strategy games on PC that's because having a keyboard and mouse lends a lot more options when it comes to RTS games than a gamepad does. Vice versa, controllers are usually better for shooters because of the shape and limited control scheme. Also, PC can handle all the resources required for an RTS 1000's of times better than a console can. Yes, you can get more precision with a mouse, but you get more fun with a controller on FPS's. On that note, my girlfriend is notoriously bad at shooters and tried playing Blood Dragon with the gamepad and hated every minute of it. I convinced her to try it with a keyboard and mouse and she loved it! We found out she's a much better PC gamer than she is a console one. In no way are shooters even half as fun on console for me over PC. It's an exercise in frustration using a joystick to aim and it really takes away from the fun for me. I'm not bad with controllers either so it's not just that lol. I constantly think "man, I could've made that shot if I was playing on PC" and I hate it!

I played Bioshock 1 on my PC with my xbox controller, then jumped through some hoops to get it to work for Bioshock 2, then decided to just go with the mouse and keyboard... I have no idea what I was thinking trying to get my controller to work! Lol

I love it when a thread derails, all threads should be off topic the titles are only there for structure. In any case it just means people have run out of things to say about the topic at hand.

I hope my previous post shows just how much I care about weather or not a mouse and keyboard are better for FPS games than computers. That is all. Carry on.

I still play a lot of my single player first person games with a controller on PC. I like sitting on my couch playing on my TV for stuff like that and it's more comfortable to use my 360 controller for that kind of thing.

I dont think controllers will ever be replaced (at least not while I am alive) The thought of all games being motion controls only makes me sick. Same could be said about the mouse, touch pads on a laptop are so annoying and fiddly to use, same with touch screen they are both good ideas but arent as quick as a mouse.

Motion controls can be ok. The Metroid Prime game on Wii controls were fine but it's not a traditional shooter. I don't think a game like Battlefield for example would ever come close to working with motion controls lol. It'd be a mess.

I use a controller for single player FPS games on PC so I'm not tethered to the M/KB on my desk. That and a keyboard simply isn't as good as a controller when it comes to movement IMO. That being said the M/KB combo is a necessity for everything else. Mouse is a requirement if you want to stay competitive in any MP match as a stick just can't match that level of accuracy. Additionally, strategy games of any sort require both or the game is unplayable. Overall I'd say it's a bit of a give and take. Sticks are better for character movement while mouse is better for aiming. Neither one should be looked down upon as they're both viable options. OT I just beat Blood Dragon a few days ago and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Easily worth more than $15 if anyone's on the fence about it.

Someone should make a mouse/keyboard combo that has thumbsticks
