I'll keep that in mind... Got myself a Geth Spitfire too, and I'm quite liking it

To me Mass Effect absolutely nailed the sci-fi feel perfectly. The game just oozed atmosphere. The gameplay was not amazing, but it was fun enough that I had no issue playing through it to see more of the story as I went along. Really it's one of my favourite games ever. Loved the story, loved the pacing, loved the idea of my decisions affecting later games.
Mass Effect 2 was a big step back. The overarching story and atmosphere were thrown to the side in favour of what really amounted to nothing more than a bunch of squadmate babysitting and dudebro action gameplay. Big disappointment to me.
Mass Effect 3 felt like a decent compromise between the 1st and 2nd game as far as atmosphere & gameplay went but dat storyline.. ugh. As it went along it became more and more clear that they were taking the story in a really dumb direction (all of a sudden you have a blue print for some ultimate "save the world" device and I was not part of the mission that uncovered or retrieved it?), and by the end they completely ruined the series for me. I can't hate a game more than I hate ME3. They took the face of Mass Effect 1 and smashed it with a hammer when they made this abomination.

Love the first Mass Effect, liked the second Mass Effect alright, and I don't ever want to hear about the third again. I really like the gameplay of 3 (story wasn't too bad, and I like the idea of the ending though the execution on it was terrible), but I've heard so many people bitch and moan about it on and on for an entire year straight that just the mere mention of it makes me nauseous anymore. I actually played a ton of the multiplayer, as it was probably (and kinda depressingly) the best part of the game.
