Hey lads I have been thinking of getting into PC gaming but I know feck all about PC gaming just that it has interested me for a while and I was wandering could you help me with the following things: 1. What type of PC should I get ? (Id mainly use it for gaming, making videos and normal PC stuff.) 2. How much should I be saving roughly for a decent PC that will run well and play games well with as little lag as possible ? 3. Where is the best place to get a PC ? 4. In general what is the community like ? 5. What games would you recommend ? 6. Finally in general which is better console gaming or PC gaming ? Thanks for reading and I would like your honest opinion please. (when i said i know feck all about PCs I mean literally nothing apart from obvious stuff.)

Well I picked up a pretty solid gaming computer from E-Bay a while back for about £400, whereas my friend got an Alienware gaming computer for about £2000 and they are more or less the same spec, except his has flashy lights. Couldn't really tell you much about the community myself tbh... I normally get my multi-player games for Xbox so I can play with my friends and generally stick to single players on PC... That said I have a couple of multi-players on here but haven't really played them, apart from the odd MMO, and in those I've found that the communities are varied, you'll get you're elitists and your dickheads and your trolls, but I generally find no matter what MMO I play I can always easily find a guild of genuinely nice people who'll help out the new players, even on Dynasty Warriors Online As for reccomended games, get yourself a Steam account and hold out for the sales, keep an eye out for anything that tickles your fancy, some older games are sometimes sold for buttons... 75% off is pretty sweet And which is better for gaming? Which is better, red apples or green apples? The Big Bang Theory or How I Met Your Mother? Red Wine or White Wine? It's all preference really... That said I do tend to use an Xbox controller when I play PC when I can =p

1. Speak to Xargen he will point you in the right place 2. £400 - £500 3. Online.lol its always different depending on deals Xargen got his on ebay new and its great 4. a few guys on here use Steam to play games 5. whatever is going cheap on steam.lol I guess it depends what you are into 6. I have always said that a console is only as good as the games you can play on its all about the games really not about what you are playing them on. if that helps.

True, a console will always be able to play its games, whereas a PC has to be up to scratch to play some higher-end games

Oh, it also needs an Operating System, dunno if you have one already or not... You can probably get one with an OS on there too, or maybe even just pick up a cheap copy of Windows 7 or something
