Here is a neat little chart that compares the features and specs of the 3 next gen consoles side by side. Check it out. Was suprised to see no region lock on the PS4. That is great. My wife gasp last night when I said "If we plan on buying a new console anytime soon out safest bet would be a PS4." She never thought I would say that. I was always a Nintendo loyal till the Gamecube gave us a 12 month dry spell that made me get an origonal Xbox. I never thought I would be considering a Playstation but the day has come. Black is white, up is down and Playstation 4 is... the... best... console... this next... generation. OMG that was hard to type.

Microsoft have gotten too big for their boots, looks like I will be going back to the Sony with my tail between my legs. I just hope it has an Xbox style controller!

I know the Playstation controllers are not built for FPS games but I'm willing to struggle though that if it means I can experience the next generation without always online and a smartass company like Microsoft.
Still, I said it before and Ill say it again, I personally won't be buying a new console, handheld or otherwise until 2015. I'm happy with my 360 and 3DS right now.

As long as it's a good controller. I have never had a good experience with 3rd party controllers. They always break or stop working right.

The one for PS4 might be harder to re-create in an xbox style, what with that touchpad thing (Which I'm really curious on how games will incorporate it)

Bump.
This chart has been updated with release dates and the like. By sheer tech specs looks like Xbox One and PS4 are neck in neck with the PS4 looking to have slightly more graphical prowess. As for whats in the box, PS4 is the winner hands-down unless you really really love the motion control provided by the Kinext. It's looks like Sony has taken steps forward in keeping the PS3 elements that were superior to the 360 this generation while incorporating elements found in the 360 suck as a removable hard drive to create an all around better console. The Xbone looks like a different beast all together and like a step sideways from the natural progression we see in the Playstation 4 making.

Only thing I hated about the PS3 when I borrowed my cousin's once, was that my thumbs kept slipping off those damn joysticks, and those left and right triggers were a pain to use as my fingers would slip off of those often when I was playing COD (I'm not proud to say I've played COD.) Hopefully those get fixed. Even If I'm not buying it or an Xbone, It'd be nice to see a step in the right direction. BTW we need a 3rd console that can compete with Microsoft and Sony. Maybe a company could develop a "Gamesphere" the first ever cylindrical game console.

Well Sony has reshaped the sticks and triggers so there is a hope that the controller is good for FPS games. I just hope they fix the trigger sensitivity because video playback is a botch when usingnthe controller on PS3. Setting it down is a gamble on weather or not its going to fast forward or back or be good for once.
