I asked a friend the other day, "Hey friend, what is the scariest movie you have ever seen?" Lots of names were dropped, titles such as Psycho, The Exorcist, The Blair Witch Project, and The Shining were all on the list. We talked for hours about what scenes made us jump, feel uneasy and generally disturbed. After weighing the options of what is scary, while being fun to watch, and gave you an on-edge feeling through the whole film we narrowed it down to only a few films. One of which we are featuring this week on JMM's Undead Theater.
Anyway I wanted to ask you guys. What is the scariest movie you have ever seen and why?
For me I think The Blair Witch Project might be the one. I've see it multiple times and although I know it's not real, the style it's filmed in and the tension it builds just gives me a feeling a dread and discomfort. Every time I watch it from beginning to end, in the dark, I'm freaked for the next hour. It's so good.

I dont know if it is the scariest movie I have EVER seen but I watching 1408 with the lights off late at night and remember being pretty freaked out. 1408 Dont watch the whole trailer, as with most trailers it will ruin any suspense when you see the full movie.

I'm not going to watch the trailer at all but I'm going to look for it tonight and if it's available to me for cheap/free I'll give it a watch and tell you what I think tomorrow. My wife and I are doing 31 nights of horror this month.

If you see this the jmm community theater will be late due to personal issues, it will later tonight or the weekend.
