I thought this was an Xbone exclusive and haven't payed it any attention since it's announcement at E3. Surprisingly I just discovered today, that it's also coming to Xbox 360 with a release window set for both systems as March of next year. I don't know much about it but it's an FPS made by Respawn Entertainment. For those who don't know that's the studio that Jason West and Vince Zampella created after being sh!t canned from the company they founded many of us know as Infinity Ward. Anyway, don't let that scare you away (or get your hopes up) because people are saying this will be the Xbones killer app and is the next evolutionary step in the FPS genre. I need some water because I just took a spoon full of salt with both those statements but either way you swing it, this is worth paying attention to. Check it out.

If reviews are to be trusted this game isn't the revolution people were hoping it would be. Ten+ reviews (so far) accumulate to an 88% so far. This game is hyped to be a killer app and the first sole reason to buy an Xbox One but I've argued that between the lack of a single-player campaign, and a $59.99 asking price, it's a niche buy for most. Despite the hype. What do you think?

I got some first-hand experience with the beta at my friends house on xbone... It's actually pretty decent! Even though the teams are 6v6, there's NPC scrubs running around and it makes it feel pretty populated. The movement is top notch, save for a little wall jumping that gets a bit of getting used to, and people actually die when you shoot them, which is nice

I haven't played it but it looks like COD with parcour running and your killstreaks are Titans that you pilot.... The 6v6 is standard COD Team Deathmatch but I could see the bots adding alot to it. What puts me off it the developer Respawn, was founded by the guys who made the first two Modern Warfare games (which I enjoyed) Jason West and Vince Zampella. Yet, they seemingly had no hand in Titanfall's creation. I mean if you check the credits and wikis there name is mentioned nowhere pertaining to the actual creation of the game and I imagine that's a bit misleading as many "hardcore" shooter fans think this is the spiritual successor to those games. While it may be, I made a good argument for how much directing matters in a previous article and the fact that they are nowhere to be found in the wiki really repelled me from any hope of real killer app, revolutionary stuff this was supposed to be.

You could kill nothing for 2 minutes and still get your titan... Killing things just gets you them faster... Also, if you know what you're doing, it's not that hard to take down a titan... Basically it comes down to all the titans landing in at more or less the same time, unless someone is REALLY tearing it up. The only two gamemodes I really played were standard deathmatch and a hold-the-point style one... Also, I wasn't great in the titan so half the time I put it into auto mode and just took out guys trying to take out the titan.

I have never been good in an FPS with a vehicle. I'm usually either the run n gun type unless it's an extreme case where camping is just a better option. Not a huge fan of camping but it you are clearly outclassed and it's your only chance at getting on the scoreboard than by all means.

Also, concerning piloting the titans, it's pretty easy to do, it feels more or less just like being on foot, except yaknow... You're huge and a bit slower (Unless you use that one titan chassis that gets like, 3 sprints and a sprint core for infinite sprinting)

Gave the game a shot on PC during the beta a couple weeks and I came away impressed. The fluidity of movement (shooting, wall-running, etc) was extremely enjoyable and the verticality of the maps made them interesting to traverse. That said, I won't be picking up the game any time soon. There just doesn't seem to be enough content there to justify the $60 price. That and I don't really play multiplayer shooters anymore.

This made me smile.
Daryl Allison, senior producer at Bluepoint Games (the developer of the 360 version) said this... "Titanfall on the Xbox 360 is the true experience: all the maps, modes, pilots, titans, weapons, burn cards, you name it, found in the Xbox One and PC versions, the game looks great, sounds great, and above all it plays great."
In response to being asked whats different from the Xbox One version... "There are of course some technical differences that are due to the technical limitations of the hardware — for example, the game runs above 30fps — but rest assured, the intense 6v6 wall-running, titan-dropping action is all there."
Though I'm not personally interested in Titanfall it's nice to hear that this next-gen centric game runs great on Xbox 360.

Check this out.
For being advertised as "the first true next-gen game" it's not impressing me visually...

Oh wow you can really see the difference! The difference being one costs a lot more and is pretty much the same thing.

I still don't understand the point of graphical comparison vids on YT. By no means is Titanfall a next gen experience (whatever that means), but this comparison doesn't really do the PC/Xbone versions justice.
The only new gen that actually looks graphically impressive is Infamous Second Son IMO:
I've actually tried this game in person and it looks incredible.
