This is the only trailer I saw:
Then I heard the critics were raving about it and considering I see 2013 as the worst year for quality movies in a very long time I thought I would go and give it a watch.
There is so much that could be said but it's important to keep expectations under control as this movie may not appeal to everyone.
I think, for me, it's easy to see something and go "oh everybody is saying this ting is great. I rarely agree with everybody and I'm going to avoid this popular thing just to spite the praise" well...
GO SEE THIS MOVIE IN THE THEATER WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!
You can not experience it any other way and feel the same way. I'll have you know I'm not a fan of the actors in this movie but I felt like I was Sandra Bullock in this movie. Yeah you read that right. It's hard to explain. For the first time in a long time I was on the edge of my seat, wanting to reach into the movie and make everything alright for the character. There is something so human about this particular survival movie and it is SO WELL DONE and so well conveyed that it's hard to fault it for the few shortcomings it has. I won't mention them here. This isn't a review.
This is a PSA. Watch Gravity, in the theater. It's worth it. It is so worth it. I know the awe stage of seeing this movie will wear off very soon but after seeing it last night I want to express my initial impression. I haven't seen a movie this good in years. It's gripping and real and human and is the shining example of why we watch motion pictures.
