Releasing in 2015 on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 From this VG247 article: It's being developed by Crytek UK (aka Timesplitters developer Free Radical). For that reason alone I'm excited to see more of this.

None of the Crysis games were anything like Timesplitters so dont get your hopes up too high. One other thing that kind of bothers me and it is probably kind of silly saying it but at no point does it say this game is a FPS... I know it goes without saying but the trailer was in 3rd person...

Crytek UK didn't develop the Crysis series. They helped on the multiplayer, but Crytek Frankfurt was responsible for everything else. Let's hope they're given a lot of creative freedom this time around. Wouldn't want to end up with another Haze.

Oh yeah Haze, I thought there was a game marketed as "from the makers of Timesplitters".

I didn't think the original Homefront was that big of a hit...

It wasn't, it was terrible. Crytek UK didn't make it tho, they have just bought the rights to make a game based on it (or at least based on its story or setting)

I just hate it that COD has jumped the shark so much with the futuristic high tech stuff. I wish a few more FPS games were grounded in reality story wise. I mean at least Modern Warfare 3 was plausible. Everything I've see from the franchise since is a good decade from plausibility in the real world. For a long time if you didn't play a WW2 shooter or a sci-fi shooter you just wearnt playing. Not saying I want the whole genre to become modern, realistic, shooters but I just wish we wearnt getting this merging from Halo to COD and back.
