I watched Pulp Fiction last night for the first time in 4 years. Still my favorite Tarantino movie. No confusing or painfully slow exposition. No obvious reference to obscure film styles of the past. The lack of a revenge focused plot works well and it's all together a great movie that has aged extremely well.
Most of the movie is still relevant despite taking place in 1993 (when it was filmed) and conversations between characters being based in an early 90's time period don't stray too far into the obscure. Some of us still use "cellular telephones" today while I don't thing anyone could walk out of a diner after waving guns around and not be met by police on the way out, this sort of violence is more prevalent in our society than ever. It is a great film. It will be 20 next year.
