No space battles was confirmed yes... Though what a glance at that chart doesn't show is that someone made it, then someone else added on the "Reason/Notes" thing so things like No A.I. is apparently lies and slander as there are A.I. confirmed for offline AND online... Honestly I wasn't even expecting an offline version

As much as that chart pisses me off, I'll still probably get BF3 solely for the purpose of showing EA that people WANT this.
I know, I know. Extended and inaccurate weapons fire in sight-restricted areas.

Yeah I agree with Blade, Do you really think EA need to know people will buy anything with Star Wars printed on it?

Lol. The movie will have everything in that first vertical colum... Which really put into perspective just how hard the game fails.
I just fear that EA and Disney will see all this negative reception and might go in for the one two punch by dropping the price of the game $20.... then try to sell us a campaign for $20 sometime next year as an add-on....
That would please alot of people, and EA will be rewarded for their shortsightedness. I still won't touch it if they do that. The damage has been done and it's EA after all. A publisher that hasn't provided anything appealing since 2008. Yes, that includes all the recent Battlefield games, The Sims, etc. EA has been dead to me since Sims 3.

As taken from this gamesradar article, there will be no classes or squads in Battlefront EA. You get to make your own loadout and unlock new weapons with xp gained from playing. It it just me or is the adoption of the COD system of progression going to destroy the team work aspect of the original games? I mean even in CODs TEAM Deathmatch you never see people working as a team. It's all about getting the most kills yourself to rank up and ignoring the other players. Maybe EA thinks that team work will come naturally in order to win matches... IDK. This is a pretty big deviation from the first two games. But hey! No ADS!

Then stick with Fallout 4. There are lots of other games coming out this year that will be more bang for your buck than Battlefront EA. It's pretty much a $60 multiplayer mode.

Yep....
I just want to get something off my chest about this...
First. Re-read this entire thread... This November, I could be a grumpy old man sitting in the corner, shaking my head, alone. OR I could do what I've seen many a COD lifer do and just shut up and drink the Kool-Aid. If we really play it together, I will buy it. If I buy it, and I play with you (by "you" I mean anyone on goldenedge) one time, and never again...
Ya know, I probably shouldn't get upset or anything, but ya see, I'm the kinda guy that can stretch a dollar like no other. For example, I haven't paid more than $6 for a movie ticket in over a year. The "vote with your dollars" philosophy I've painstakingly lived by for the last few years, is just that. Philosophy. Treating it like logic, and looking upon people as ignorant when they buy a certain game just makes me angry and it's a worthless way to go about things. I tend to forget that $65 is nothing to some people. Too bad I can't convince those people to give me that "nothing". lol
As I write this I'm also writing my MGSV review. According to the game clock I've played 115 hours and have yet to touch any multiplayer mode. Next month, we'll be getting multiplayer, and while it doesn't look like something I plan to sink hours into, I already feel like I've gotten a bit more than my fair amount value in the $65 I paid for it, AND it's held my attention for that long too.
I guess my point is, I think we all have had the experience of dropping the full asking price on a game to conclude a week later, that it wasn't worth the money, translation: you wasted your Money. How many $20 bills am I going to have to throw at otherwise "no buy" games just in hopes of getting back into this kind of "multiplayer culture" I was knee deep into with Halo 3, Reach, Modern Warfare, etc.? I would like to know because I really miss it. You know, a game that I play off and on for months if not years that I can talk about and play with my friends.
With all that said, fun times with friends is priceless in my opinion.

I think I know what you are saying, paying top dollar for MGSV there was less risk because if you didn't like the online mode or it didn't work (which it didn't) you had a very good single player game to fall back on.
If you pay top dollar for Star Wars: Battlefront and the online sucks or for some reason doesn't work you could waste your money with nothing to fall back on.

True. I think by buying this game a person says that "despite the game having less than half the content of Battlefront II (which wasn't seen as a remarkably robust game in its day) I'm willing to pay full price for this." Many if not most online only games are either free to play, or go for between $20-$40.
I do realize games are more expensive then ever to make and it's likely Battlefront EA cost more to make than Battlefront II but when this game is dropping in the wake of MGSV, and Fallout 4, it's difficult not to want to take it off my radar all together.
The main argument would probably be that those are action/RPG games. Battlefront is for shooter fans. Well have you seen Halo 5 or Black Ops III? After what's promised to be a bigger campaign than usual, you have your typical multiplayer suite and extras like a zombie mode, etc.
That was a really long way of saying that compared to nearly ever other FPS to come out this year, Battlefront has about 1/3 the content as the others, and said others still don't look* that impressive. What does that leave Battlefront to amount to?
