Was wondering that. Can it really be the hype of Blops3 driving that. It's just odd. It's not even the best in the series. Is it?

Can anyone explain why Black Ops II is at the top of the voting list for backwards compatibility? I just don't get it. Sure, maybe it should be in the top 50 but number 1? Over Red Dead, Skyrim, and so many others??? Can you link the list?

I don't even bother up-voting what's in the top 10. I just vote on what I know Ill want to play in the future. Stuff like Sonic Adventure 2. Definitely not as great game as I remember from my childhood, but I bought it on XBLA, and wouldn't mind revisiting it every now and then.

I went through every page looking for games I'd love to play again on my bone... Think I upvoted every Dynasty Warriors game lol... Also, Fusion: Genesis on page 66... I loved that game, but never completed it 'cus it got to the point where it was essential multi-player missions at the end and I didn't have any friends to play with

I've heard original Xbox games are damn near impossible to emulate. There was a post on a forum somewhere I saw a while back about a guy who was working on an Xbox emulator, and then decided to give up and post why it was impossible to emulate them. I can't remember exactly the issue, because he posted a lot of technical reasons why it wasn't feasible, but basically, in order to emulate a game, a specific and exact set of parameters would have to be set in order to play each individual game. Imagine a switchboard on a commercial jetliner. If even one switch is not set correctly, the plane won't take off. The problem was, there was no way to tell exactly how to set the "switches" for each game. The information was hard coded into the system and game, and with no known way of extracting it, the games would not play. There were literal millions of "switch" combinations that could be a possibility for each and every game, so it was literally impossible to figure out how to properly set the game to be emulated. It's awful, but the only way we can emulate original Xbox games, is if Microsoft finishes their program they did years ago, where they only made about 500 games compatible with the 360, and half of which had serious problems and glitches while playing. Long story short, the way the Xbox was made, and the hardware that is in it, means only the creators of the console and games themselves could ever make the games emulation feasible. Pretty much what's in it, is there to stay and never be replaced.

Don't worry about your DLC. Via Game Informer...In order to access DLC, you’ll need to either purchase it on Xbox.com or via your Xbox 360 console. "Right now, backward compatibility does not emulate the Xbox 360 store and new Xbox 360 games can be purchased on your Xbox 360 or via Xbox.com, We will support both digital and disc-based entitlements for Xbox 360 games running on Xbox One." If you already own DLC for backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games, you should be good to go, as all DLC will be automatically downloaded with the game. Microsoft suggested to us in a meeting that it might also be working on full emulation that would enable store purchases on Xbox One, but that isn’t going to be ready for the November 12 launch.

I wonder how it will work for goty editions, because when you download a piece of dlc off a disc it doesn't register as a purchase.

I'm not sure but I'm sure they have thought of it though. I know I didn't buy all my "purchases" but they still register as such on Xbox.com.
