I've seen some videos of this game on Legendary is it as hard as what people say it is? Apparently the final Warden fight is hair pulling difficult. Legendary is insanely difficult. I think that contributes to our different opinion on the Warden. The first Warden fight felt very satisfying and like a true boss battle. I think they overused him a bit too much, but whatever. The final warden fight took me an hour because of those turrets that spawn in. Anyway, I think everyone always shits on the most recent game - a bunch of people didn't like 4 when it came out, but it was one of my favorites. I'm not sure how I feel about the Reach engine being used in 5, but I've been having fun so far. If you were disappointed by the campaign experience, I think you should retry a level or two on heroic/legendary, just to make it a little more difficult. Beating it felt really satisfying. If the plot (or lack thereof) is what really bothers you about the game, I can understand that, and I guess there's nothing really that can be done.

Unless Halo 5 is the first game in the series to add extra objectives ad whole sections to pre-existing levels you couldn't get to or had no reason to get to, would playing it on a harder difficulty just add frustration to an already frustrating experience?
All these games need that hind-sight perspective but it's hard for these games because we get a new one every two years. People still talk about Halo 3 like it came out yesterday. No nostalgia, no forgiving any of it's shortcomings. If we had a chance to miss Halo as a series they could launch a sort of revival in a few years but instead we'll get a new game every year.
If I say "Hey did you ever play Call of Duty 4?" I always hear "Oh, Call of Duty sucks, I'm so tired of it." Instead of the excitement I would expect to hear when reminiscing on what's arguably the best game in the series. One that's had almost a decade for people to gain alittle nostalgia for it mind you. Overexposure and over saturation not only devalues what's current in the series, but taints the perception of what came before it and brings everything down.

Personally, by the time Reach came out I was already getting pretty tired of Halo. At that point I had played it off and on every year (maybe every month) for the better part of 8 years, and knew I should probably move on. Same reason I'm not spending my time still trying to "Catch em' All" there is just a point where you look back and realize there is a whole world of games out there and you've spent most of your time in a single franchise, doing pretty much the exact same thing.
Those first few halo games I plan to revisit every few years but keeping up with a franchise on a near monthly basis, that pretty much has you doing the same thing in each game for over ten years can get tedious. There is always a new game or map or patch or something to keep you coming back but when a hobby meant to pass the time begins taking more time (and money) than you originally intended on putting into it, it's time for a change.

Okay so I just got to the part in your video where you're discussing about Cortana being evil and how it's not her rampancy, but her self acting that way..................did you forget the ending of Halo 4? The Didact fell into his beam of whatever..as did Cortana..well..so to speak. It makes perfect sense that the Didact some how took the form of Cortana since he became an AI, because that's what happens when an organism get's sucked into that beam, they become an AI.
I don't know how to word all this but if any of you can understand my ramblings or get where I am coming from, then hopefully an "AHA!" moment will come and explain Cortana's...strange..behavior.
I say all this because think back for a bit. Think how Cortana's actions are during Combat Evolve, 2, 3, and 4. Even through her rampancy episode on Halo 4 she still was innocent and caring. Now think how she acts in Halo 5. She has no emotions for ANY of the actions that she's making. Again, this is why it makes perfect sense that the Didact took control of Cortana... or it's just me.
Idk, it's just a theory that I personally think is the more logical one.

And any emotion she does show you can tell its just an act. She NEVER referred the Chief as John except at one time during the ending cutscene of Halo 3. That was the first time she ever said his name, and I don't think she said his name in Halo 4, but I could be wrong.

I think I heard her say John in Halo 4 once or twice. I think when she wakes the Chief up and at the very end when she says goodbye.

Yeah but she's not constantly saying his name though, in Halo 5 she is. That right there should set of the "red flag" that it's not Cortana, but something else, like, the Didact

Yeah, I doubt it's a red flag. I'm pretty sure it's the direction their going in. I thought it was sweet and special when she called him John when they were about to die in Halo 3. It communicated emotion and drama. In Halo 4, Cortana is the definition of drama, and 343s games recycle her calling him "John" to reinforce the human side of the Chief, to keep things dramatic and personal.
Maybe there is a twist that the gravemi... I mean Didact has captured Cortana and may have corrupted her, but haven't we seen this before?
Sorry for raining on a parade. It just sounds too much like wishful thinking.

Idk, it's just a theory that I personally think is the more logical one. I like the theory and never considered that (this is what I was looking forward to when I made this video) but I don't agree with it, this was Cortana and no one else simply because of the "It was time" line, now for me the best outcome is that this is the Didact my god that would make me so happy but I can't help but think that it's wishful thinking like the Indoctrination theory in Mass Effect 3. For me personally there's too much stuff in Halo 5 that points to this being Cortana, she specifically wanted Chief, she didn't want the Warden to stop him and she calls him John. There's more but I would need to replay the game and that's not gonna happen unless it's another video. But thank you for this because I was really looking forward to people to give me a contradiction instead of "you're wrong!" which thankfully has only happened once.

I think Joe might be right on with this. I didn't know where else to post it but it felt most relevant here. Not trying to open a new can of worms on this tired topic but I would like to hear what you think.

I watched this Angry Joe Review a few days ago and I can remember agreeing with some point and disagreeing with others. If I remember correctly he said he didn't finish Halo 4 so I guess he isn't in to the story enough to force his way through the game. I might watch it again so I could have a better discussion on it. Is there anything you want to discuss about it?

Wouldn't Halo 5 be a better game if he's not into the story considering it's the weakest part of the game, if not the weakest campaign in the whole series? Just saying the campaign isnt really a factor to judge for him, it's the other stuff he says that I agree with. The one thing that really surprised me (I forget about this) was the cinemablend page he brought up which pretty much has 343i calling the original Halo fans a bunch of nostalgic people that need to get with the times and accept that Xbox Live is the only way to play. That's funny coming from a developer with games that multiplayer works best when running off the same console. Lag is a horrible fact of life for a Halo game. Seriously, I almost never experience lag in a COD game. Not that I mean to compare but the lag in 343s Halo games has been a plague for far too long. It's likely I will never buy Halo 5 on account of this kind of condescending bullshit. I have played EVERY HALO GAME with either my wife or friends via split-screen. The sad fact of my life it that I almost never actually play video games with friends unless they are sitting next to me. It's just more personal, interactive, and fun. On Xbox Live, we don't say much at all. Nothing like playing a game with the person right next to you.

The only game I've been able to actually talk and play games with online is World of Warcraft (I haven't played WoW since 2011 or 2012) a lot of that was to do with communication pretty much being forced. I've tried playing with chat in parties on other games but everybody is so silent or so hardcore that I just get put off. When I play with people I want to chat and have fun, not yell and get angry.
