I liked the whole "Kingdom Hearts 3 ONLY on PlayStation!" then like, the next day Microsoft were all "Hmm? Oh, yeah we have Kingdom Hearts 3 as well" I have been waiting for kingdom hearts 3 for so long i even remember my best friend showing me a trailer for kingdom hearts 3 but that was seven years ago and it turns out that was trailer for the psp game and that friend is sadly no longer with us.

I call BS on the $500 million budget. That's twice as much as GTA V's and that game had thousands of people involved in its development.

Thousands of people? Who says?
I will say that much like Halo 4. I'm sure a large chunk of that budget will go into advertising. Maybe, again, like Halo 4, they are going to make a series of commercials that have a movie like budget that tells the Destiny origin story. Wouldnt be the first time...
Plus. They need to pay this guy...
Beta goes live in July.

Thousands of people? Who says? Rockstar North President Leslie Benzies Quote from Benzies himself in this interview: "Now that it takes 1,000 people to make a game, that’s a requirement. But we don’t want 1,000 in one place." Also: Interviewer: "Is it 1,000 people making GTA V?" Benzies: "It's probably more, much more." Don't forget GTA V's massive marketing campaign as well. Development costs and advertising made up the $250 million budget. As far as I can tell H4 costed about $100 million (couldn't find any specific figures for this one) to make with H3 costing about half that (development and marketing costs included). I really can't see how Bungie/Activision could sink more than twice the amount of money R* did into GTA V into a new, unproven IP. I'm beginning to wonder if this 500 million figure is Bungie's budget for all the Destiny games they've been contracted to make.

I guess only time will tell... Remember though that while the GTA V world is big, Destiny will be traveling between planets, and I wouldn't put it past them to have areas as big as GTA's world on at least one of them

can we just all agree that spending that much money on advertising for gtav was stupid considering how beyond popular the grand theft auto series is and they could have just announced it without the massive marketing budget and it still would have sold as good as did.

Seriously. I never noticed the marketing. I never saw a single poster in public. Nothing. It wasn't like Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 3 that insisted that I not eat fast food, visit a petrol station, drink soda pop, or eat Doritos without seeing Master Chief or the MW3 logo.

what i am talking about is that they don't need those massive advertisements on the side of buildings and billboards because its grand theft auto and it will sell like candy cover crack regardless i mean all they need to to do is put together a trailer to show at an announcement and then the announcement will be mostly what the mainstream gaming media and youtube will be talking about along with it trending on social networks such as twitter and facebook.

Here we have a bit more gameplay and dev opinions.
Nice how they stuck that Halo: Reach footage in right at 0:43.

Yeah I have gradually lost excitement for it.
At first I was looking forward to another great FPS title from Bungie. A developer who hasn't let me down so far. Now it just looks like more Halo: Reach. It could be great, but between the always online, Activisions' involvement, the original Halo team being disbanded, and the whole "sameness" of it all I just wonder how good this game is actually going to be at launch.
Is it going to be another Titanfall where all the hype in the world dresses it up as the next revolution in the genre just release with what boils down to a "meh"? I mean I actually know or rather, am hearing about more people playing Call of Duty: Ghosts (a six month old game loathed for it's own sameness) rather than Titanfall.
I'm afraid to say it, but I'm beginning to wonder if publishers are going to have to kick us into the next generation by force because as of now, everyone I talk to is sticking with their 360/PS3 and the slightly less pretty versions these AAA games.

Activisions' involvement, I think this is want turns me off the most about it and it has always been in the back of my head. Activision run every game they touch into the ground!
