All four "main series" Halo games will be available on November 11th, on one disc, for $59.99, only on Xbox One.
Every game will play as it did in it's original form. That means Halo 2 is coming to back to Xbox Live and Halo CE will be seeing it for the first time. Both Halo CE and Halo 2 will have the full "anniversary treatment". That means Halo CEA is virtually the same as it was in 2011 but running at 1080p/60FPS and sporting it's original multiplayer. Halo 2 will get new graphics with the switch to original option, new cut-scenes, and terminals like in Halo 3.
Halo 3 and 4 are just getting ported with the resolution/frame-rate upgrades.
No piggybacking Halo 2 multiplayer on the Halo 4 engine or anything like that. Every game features it's own online multiplayer as it was intended originally. This package is a kind of holy grail to the hard core Halo fan that has sacrificed his/her Xbox 360 for an Xbox One.

Do you think you can play them all online too? That would be pretty cool. There are a lot of hardcore halo fans who would love that.
*Edit sorry I just seen your edit, that is unreal!

Still, as I look over at my DVD shelf and see Halo CE/2/3/ODST/Reach/4 all lined up in a row and don't know if it's worth buying a $400 console for. Especially when I see the gameplay and the whole "been there, done that" feeling washes over me.
Playstation 4 still has my vote. I really hope backwards comp is mentioned in the press conference today. Sure, I don't have a back catalog of PS3 games but with PS4 and XONE more neck n'neck than ever, there needs to be an ultimate scale tipper. On paper, and in my personal opinion, Sony still barely has the advantage, but the DO have it.

Unless Sony brings out some heavy hitters in their conference later tonight it would seem that MS has the edge when it comes to exclusives for the next year. Don't get my wrong, Sony have huge first party franchises like Uncharted, but even that probably won't see the light of day until 2015 at the earliest. BTW, do you have a PS3?

I just mean the console itself is a far better buy than the Xbox One and considering I have a waning at best interest in the announced Xbone exclusives, I'm leaning toward PS4 right now. No I do not own a PS3/PS4 right now but let me give you a few reasons why I feel the PS4 is (currently) superior.
1. The PS4 doesn't require an internet connection (initially or otherwise) to function.
2. The PS4 controller is rechargeable as opposed to (like my 360 controller) the XONE controller remaining the sole reason why I buy AA batteries.
3. By way of technical specs, graphically, the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One.
4. The PS4s hard drive is removable, meaning upgrading to a larger HD is possible and helping with my next point...
5. The PS4 doesn't require you to install the games you play so the 500GB hard drive will stretch a helluva lot farther than the XONEs will when it comes to raw storage space.
6. The power supply is internal on the PS4 so you don't have to deal with putting the over sized power brick in a place where it could over heat or short out for any reason. Many a 360 power brick has shorted out due to static electricity in the carpet or poor ventilation.
7. You don't need any form of paid subscription to use the Game DVR as opposed to the Xbox Live requirement to use the feature on XONE.
8. Right out the the box you get 30 days of PS+ compared to the 14-Day free trial of Xbox Live.
Finally, Sony has made a clear effort to not only acknowledge that the Playstation 1/2/3 do exist, but also that PS4 owners love those games and want to see backwards compatibility on the PS4. Further more, they have made public statements pertaining to the possibility of backwards compatibility on the PS4 (in some form) in the future.
E3 aint over yet.

Further more, they have made public statements pertaining to the possibility of backwards compatibility on the PS4 (in some form) in the future. E3 aint over yet. Fair enough. A few things though: 1. The Xbox One actually doesn't require an internet connection. It's a "feature" they removed due to backlash from the interwebz. 2. Understandable. Buying a play and charge kit for mine was a pain in the ass. 3. The performance gap between the Xbox One and PS4 is minimal at best. 1080p will almost certainly be the standard once devs figure out how to develop for the consoles, and judging by what we've seen from MS at E3 so far the Xbone is more than capable technically. 4. True, but you can use external hard drives now on Xbone. 5. Actually no. PS4 requires you to install all games to the hard drive. Both PS4 and Xbox One games can be played while installing. 6. It's not too annoying, but I can see how not having one altogether would be preferable. 7. True. It sucks that the Xbox one DVR can't record as long as the PS4 either. 8. Meh. Can't say that'd influence my decision to buy a new console. Both MS and Sony have expressed interest in providing backwards compatibility services on PS4 and Xbone. Whether or not either console actually gets backwards compatibility is just speculation at the moment. For me this stuff is neither here nor there since I don't personally care about BC. Let's not forgot though, we buy consoles for the software. What games do you see on the PS4 that make you want to get the system?

In response to your... response:
1. Xbox One DOES require an internet connection when you first start it up so you can download a firmware update to make it offline compatible.
3. I agree. The performance gap IS minimal but I would love an explanation (from Microsoft) why select multi-plaform games run at a higher resolution/FPS on PS4 compared to XONE.
4. True but it's so much nicer to not have a USB sticking out of the console or having a cord and external hard drive constantly connected to the console.
5. All I've heard is that the download is mandatory by Microsoft request as opposed to Sony leaving it to the developer/publisher to decide.
Everything I'm looking forward to is multi-platform and considering (on paper) the PS4 is a better console the writings on the wall isnt it? I can play Final Fantasy XV, Arkham Knight, The Division, Destiny, etc. on either PS4, or Xbox One. PS4 looks better at this point in time. I don't have money for either right now but it I did, it would be PS4.

Didn't realize the Xbone needed an online connection during setup. After that though you don't need one. 3. It has something to do with the 8 GB of RAM and 32 MB cache of ESRAM in the console iirc. It's a somewhat harder to develop for compared to the 8 GB of unified memory in the PS4. 4. It's a bit of a give and take with the hard drive situation on these consoles. On PS4 you can replace the internal drive, but you can't install games on an external drive. On Xbone the reverse is true. I do agree that it was a bad decision to prevent users from upgrading the internal drive on the Xbone though. 5. Nope. You can't run any game purely off the disc, and for good reason; the games are 20-50 GB in size. I do think it kinda sucks that consoles are becoming more complicated and PC-like in this respect. Overall I think either system will be a good option for multiplats, but if you're looking for the absolute best experience with third party console titles, the PS4 is the way to go currently. Though who knows if it will be a year or two from now when there'll likely be more parity between the systems. Personally I'm fine with a console as long as I enjoy the exclusives and get to play with friends, even if that means settling with slightly weaker hardware. Hell, I'll probably get a PS4 too at some point since I hate not being able to play exclusives.

If Timesplitters 4 came out on PS4 (and only PS4) I would buy one, but I cant see that happening. Last gen the Xbox 360 had way more exclusives so I cant see why it wont be the same this gen. I will probably get an Xbone just as soon as some good games I haven't already played come out. Anyway there are some problems with the PS4 I have posted below.
1. The Controller I dont like it
2. The Controller It stinks
3. The Controller Have you player a FPS using that thing?
4. The Controller The analog sticks are two close together
5. The Controller The Xbone has a better controller
6. The Controller All of my online friends will be on Xbone

JMM. Have you played with the PS4 controller? I did about a month ago and I really liked the redesign. Is it better for FPS games? Yes. Is it better than the Xbones controller for FPS games? Probably not.

Back off topic, I used a PS4 controller and it didn't feel all that different than a PS3 controller
