You will see all there is to see in Ground Zeros in a couple hours. You have a week to do that.

Me too. It's extremely rare, in fact, this might be the first in the history of the industry where the same man has written and directed the development of a series of games for over 25 years without selling out.
Swan song MGSV may be, but I can't help but get a bit nostalgic and even sad. The launch of MGSV truly marks the end of an era that started before many of us were even born. The fact that this series has kept its integrity, and stayed in the same hands the whole time makes it all the more special.
I honestly cannot think of another name in the industry that has told the same story for so long while keeping a level of quality throughout.

It's one of those things. I've been a fan of the gameplay more than the story for the better part of the last 15 years or so. In truth, the story is so incredibly deep a confusing at times, that metal gear is about 98% gameplay for me.
I'm really happy that Kojima decided to go a bit lighter on story for MGSV, and focused on making the originally stealth focused gameplay, into a proper modern sandbox. I still go for stealth over action in Ground Zeros, but the fact that I can go in Rambo style and kill everyone without cheats, unlocks, or the risk of near-certain death is just what Metal Gear needed.

Dang. That song alone could have Metal Gear stealing GOTY. Simply beautiful.

"Okay. So what this means is you gotta get horse relationship points. So you gotta ride on your horse to get horse relationship points, and the more horse relationship points you get, you can make your horse poo on command."
Only Metal Gear can make a person say those words in that order. #GOTY

I find the walker gear is over powered, and pace of the games is really slow. I'm lucky to get three kills in a match. Single-player is still fun though.

I agree with everything that video says.
I've already said a lot of what it says, but he articulates it better. I could almost file plagiarism on the the Goldeneye comment lol. Not really. I shouldn't have deleted that thread with my original review and the comment of how the mission tasks make it a different game. Oh well.
As far as the "know when to stop" comment goes. I also agree with that. I'm at 88% completion with the game, done everything accept complete all mission tasks and S-ranks and I'm ready to put the game down for a bit.
At this point I have weapons that make the final boss battle (on hard mode) look like a joke. I will continue to complete the mission tasks because they add so much more to the experience, S-ranks are a different priority level though.
Know when not to stop as well. Diffidently complete all the main missions, even the duplicate ones. Armor up your heli, get the best sniper rifle, rocket launcher and active camo. Go after that infinity bandanna as well. All that stuff is game changing and gives you more freedom when playing the game. Nothing is going to change or fix the story, but the stealth sandbox is amazing and made even more so when your practically invincible walking death. REX aint got nuthin' on me!!! Rawwwwrrrrrr!!!

I came up with this the other day for a better ending to MGSV. Obviously it's going to contain spoilers, so don't read if you haven't played it. The game would end as it did normally (With the addition of Mission 51 of course since this is my imagination we're talking about here), but for the "True" ending, here's what I would've thought would be a better way to end it. Venom Snake (BB's Phantom) is seen standing in the field in Zanzibar Land (Tselinoyarsk, or where MGS3 took place) where he thinks he fought The Boss years ago. The flowers in the field that were once white, are still red from when he killed her. There is no music, but the flower petals are all blowing around, and Venom goes to smoke his Phantom Cigar, when all of a sudden, he hears a voice from behind him that says "Hello, Ahab." The camera zooms into Venom's face slowly. Venom remembers the voice very clearly, says, "Ishmael?" and turns around. When he turns around, his mouth opens enough for his Phantom Cigar to fall out in slow motion and hit the ground. The camera tracks the cigar as it falls in slow motion like the XOF patch in MGSV: Ground Zeroes. The camera then pans up to show Big Boss looking at him. Similar to how MGS4 in the final graveyard scene was, Venom says, "Big Boss?". He looks at BB dumbfounded as the camera then shoots to an angle of both of them being in the shot like the graveyard scene from MGS4 was. This is when Venom starts remembering his past before the hypnosis, and things start to slowly come back to him. Big Boss then does a long monologue of how it was Ocelot's, Zero's and BB's idea to turn Venom into BB's phantom in order to make it so BB could create his Nation of Soldiers as the world was focused all on Venom's actions instead. Big Boss congratulates him on a successful mission, and gives him one last one. To find out if he is worthy of taking over as the true Big Boss. A fight between a Venom that felt betrayed by his former commander, and a now power hungry and corrupt Big Boss starts. A true battle of good versus evil. It would be styled similar to MGS4's Liquid Ocelot battle, but with much more emphasis on CQC, and they would fight in the field where The Boss died years ago. The health bars from MGS3 would then show up on the screen as an homage to the classic, with the names, Naked Snake and Venom Snake or Big Boss and Venom Snake. Not sure of an appropriate song for this fight scene, but it would probably be similar to MGS3's where it was no music for a few minutes before a song starts. The fight would probably have BB severely damaging Venom's bionic arm in the fight too. Venom is eventually victorious, and BB congratulates him on being his worthy successor and asks Venom to kill him and complete the mission, just like how BB had to kill the Boss. BB hands Venom the Operation Intrude tape, part of the Philosopher's Legacy, just like the Boss did years ago, and promotes him to the title of Big Boss. And BB's last words would have to be something prophetical like, "There are no more phantoms now, only shadows." Venom would then kill him and stand up. As he mourns, he reaches up into the air to catch a flower petal much like he did at the beginning of the game, but now he can actually grab it because he has his bionic arm, but it is now almost in shambles. As he catches the red petal, the below music would begin to play as the petal and the entire field of flowers turn back to white like how it was before the Boss died, as a symbolism for BB paying for his sins. The music continues to play as Venom goes back to his base and looks in the mirror. From here on out, it would basically be the original True ending, minus the cassette tape telling him the truth, but it would still have the encrypted message on it. He puts it into the decoder, and around 1:35 in the song is when he punches the mirror and looks into it as it is broken. The credits then roll soon after. Let me know what you think of my idea of a much better true ending for MGSV. Here is the song I mentioned: JMMREVIEW Blade Runner 07

I literally just woke up and had to post this.
You know I really dislike MGSV... I just had a dream about MGSV, the story and the ending and Metal Gear 1 and 2 and so on. Super in depth dream so intense it made me sweat and I got woken up because a bomb exploded in front of me anyway that doesn't matter.
The dream showed me things that made me like the story of the game... Things I didn't even think of. Like why Big Boss was pretty much godlike and I hated the explanation in the game (leaving out spoilers) but the dream made the explanation really cool.
I best stop here because I'm getting too hyped and I need my sleep. But damn... This dream has changed everything. Everything. Like the ending has a new meaning for me now, the events of the story, the cassette tapes, Miller, Ocelot...

Happend to me too MGNoxa. MGSV is one of those games. I wanted to hate it after I beat it but spending more time with the game I began to understand what (I think) Kojima intentions were. We may never know everything about this game, but it makes you think.
