Normally I don't like these kind of videos. Always full of spoilers, speculation and half of all of it turns out to be false hopes. I like this one though. I watched the original footage maybe five times and never noticed all the things in the distance like the castle, volcano, and the smaller structures. I also never noticed the villagers and there reaction to the spider beast. Believe it or not, I didn't really notice (I guess because I didn't care) that Link looked so different, no green tunic, no sword, a pony tail, and a cloak.

I think I have said this before but I am just glad to see they are bring a horse/Epona back into the game.

Epona is as iconic as the master sword at this point. Not every Zelda game needs Epona but it never feels like an official (traditional at least) Zelda game without that horse as an element. Even in games like Oracle of Seasons/Ages where you never once ride her in the game you at least see Link ride in the opening cut scene.
Off Topic: I think were due for a no gimmicks Zelda game again. Ocarina of time is the only game that really balanced out right with the ocarina not having to be used in everything you do. It becomes a chore when the game makes you go out of your way to use things like the wind waker or wolf form to accomplish goals the base form Link could accomplish with his sword.

For me Wind Waker was an official Zelda and I loved the boat, it was a great change and I loved exploring in it but I thought I would be getting back on Epona soon the I am.

The boat was great and I loved steadily traversing the ocean as islands faded in and out of sight. It was about as epic as a Zelda game could get. Sometimes though, I would ride the natural wind direction instead of using the wind waker just because I was tired of conducting those little songs. It would slow me way down but I didn't mind too much. They are all nice elements but I would like a call back to the more traditional Zelda games where you didnt need to depend on transformations so heavily.
I just want to play as Link. Some of my favorite parts of Majoras Mask were as human Link because after going through OOT with him I had a sense of belonging with that form in that, having gone through so much with him it was nice to see him progress. When you turn him into a Deku or wolf, or goron there is a detachment.

I totally agree, most new Zelda are gimmicky (this could be because of motion controls) I think what we are all crying out for is a MM or OoT Zelda, no nonsense just a solid game.

I dunno... Zora link was pretty bad ass... I loved just going to the ocean, sticking on the Zora mask and fucking around in the water for ages

Maybe I should be ashamed but I never got around to playing Skyward Sword but was it real gimmicky? It's viewed in some minds as better than OOT.

Honestly I don't think it was gimmicky at all... I love the entire game through and through, and the addition of swinging your sword a certain way added almost like a puzzle element to beating enemies that you would normally just slash to bits

It's viewed in some minds as better than OOT. It wasnt as good as OoT, I would say it was the most repetitive Zelda game, you have to fight the same boss over and over again. Also I didnt really enjoy the flying or the whole dragon thing really. It was good but not as good as WW MM or OoT.

This might be a bad example but I think back to Halo 4 Prometheans and how you had to kill those little watchers that took pot shots at you before you could kill anyone else. When it's a life or death assault on your character I would rather my enemies be as vulnerable to damage as I am. Even if that means having to use a certain weapon I always have on hand, an hitting them more than they hit me. The sword in Zelda is a cure-all for most bad guys. I hate meeting an enemy where there is one way and only one way to kill it. I just hope Nintendo doesn't expect us to use the Wii remote in Zelda Wii U.

^ Are you really saying that nothing is worth it for a Wii U?

If this beautiful Zelda game isn't a scale-tipper for making a case for the Wii U as a legit console and something to be taken seriously than I really can't fathom what your looking for.
The Wii U has no 3rd party support, no dvd/CD/bluray player, and sits solely on the promise of 1st party games. The quality of said games will decide Nintendo's fate in the console marketplace. They said this last E3 that there are no plans to release a successor anytime soon so essentially, they are taking a HUGE risk by staying on this proverbial sinking ship. Zelda Wii U is that basket that Nintendo is putting all its eggs in, in 2015. I have faith because Nintendo MUST have faith. It's got nothing else.

Nintendo can crash and burn for all I care. Faith isn't good enough.
